Sometimes when we face some unnecessary heartaches or problems, we tend to see them as if it was the work of the devil. But, if only we could see honestly the route cause of the problems, we will be able to see that we are the root cause. Either it is our behavior or attitude or response which would have been inappropriate that could have resulted in the problem or heartache.
So what do we learn from these unpleasant situations or heartaches? Let us be humble enough to repent and correct ourselves so that we be made right or brought into the right perspective by the Lord. Instead of asking the Lord why He allowed this unpleasant circumstances into our life, let us understand that God has allowed this for a good purpose so that we be disciplined according to His holiness.

Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.
