Godly Sorrow?

When we feel bad for what we have done or what we have been, then such a sorrow is good. For the Word of God says that godly sorrow leads to repentance.

2 Corinthians 7:10 (NIV)
Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret...

We learn from our mistakes - our wrong perspective and attitudes, our inappropriate behavior or reponse and wrong decisions. When we feel bad for such things, it is good; for these things help us to change towards God's nature and holiness. Holiness is not an unattainable aspect. It is very essential for every child of God and Christ-like nature has holiness embedded in it. So being like Christ is possible only when we are willing to learn from our mistakes and change as the Spirit of God works in us.

So let us be open to God as He works in us and not justify wrong as right by our human intelligence or reasoning. But be careful to be sensitive to our true conscious.
