Where grace abounds...

We saw that grace is an undeserved favor that we have received from the Father God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We as God's children live with a deep understanding that we have fallen in the sight of God... and God who is rich in mercy had come down to us and has lifted us up through Christ's work on the Cross. When we live with this realization we can never exalt ourselves before God or others. Though God has promised that He has forgotten our sins (Isa 43:25), in the sense He doesn't count them against us...We should never forget from what or where we have come. This is not in the sense that we live in our past but that to remember them with greatfulness towards God that He has lifted us from a miry pit. This is how true humility comes. With humility comes more grace...

James 4:6 (NIV)
But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."

We cannot expect grace of God when we live with self-righteous or haughty attitude. Only when we humble ourselves truly before God will grace abound more in our lives.

  1. Our Past should always remind us of what we were and what we are today... forgetting our past is like living without a MEASURING SCALE to know HOW we reached the status of WHO / WHERE we are today.
