Sealing our Lips

In the days to come we will concentrate on verbal communications that would please God. We see that King David prayed in Ps 19:14 saying, 'Let the words of my mouth ... be acceptable in your sight O Lord...' (NKJV).

Sometimes we may say words such as slang which may not be acceptable in God's sight. Though we find it hard to control usage of such words, they seldom come. Talking slang at times would have become so much part of a habitual sin that we may no longer try to overcome them. But that is not the solution to handle the issue. We need to pray all the more to break free from the habit of using slang.

That is why King David prayed in Psalms 141:3 (NIV)

Set a guard over my mouth, O LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips.

So let us make this our prayer and take every effort unless and until we get rid of this habitual sin...
