Real Wit...

It is become a common practice even among the believer's circle to cut jokes that are ugly. Humor is a fine skill yet has to be used in a way which will be healthy and comical. As God's children we should not communicate words which are indecent or improper or i.e hurtful to others. For some, earthly jesting is presumed as a way of casual talk or joking but there is no place for such things in a Christian life. Wit has to prove its quality of appreciation and applause when it brings laughter to the hearer by making a heart lighter.

Ephesians 5:4 (New International Version)
Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.

So let us use humor in a very appropriate manner bringing cheer to others...
