What kind of words proceed out of our mouth everyday? Are they words of blessings or of curses? Sometimes even we as believers when raged with anger say words of curses not knowing to tame our tongue. But the Word of God says that we should not be doing so...
James 3:10-11 (New International Version)
(v.10)Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be.
(v.11) Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?
Therefore let us be careful to use words even when angered. Let us choose to pause before we say anything. For again the Word of God exhorts in James 3:9 (NIV)
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness.
Don't we call names when angered with people. Let us forbid this and learn to use words appropriately which is fitting in the eyes of the Lord.
