The Power of the Tongue

As we are seeing in this series of meditations, the importance of verbal communication, there is one important aspect about what we speak. The Word of God says that our tongue has got a tremendous power. Power to make things happen. That is why we are exhorted time and again to confess our faith and the promises of God through our tongue, so that we receive what we believe. If we believe and confess with our tongue it happens.

Look what the Word says,

Proverbs 18:21 (NIV)

The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

If we confess positive things about ourselves, our life and situations, positive and good things happen. But if we confess negatively out of frustration and anger, negative and bad things will turn out. So it is better we speak only positive stuff regarding our problems, situations, family members, work, ministry and also about ourselves so that we get to see the power of our confession becoming real for us...
