Many are the afflictions of the righteous,
But the LORD delivers him out of them all.
Looking at the first line may give us a little disappointment for it states the word "many afflictions" for God's people. But the next line is of more comfort, for we have the Lord who is on our side to deliver us out of it.
If we get discouraged by the first line perceiving that only we as God's children suffer more than the rest of the people of the world, then we are mistaken. The people of the world have afflictions as much as we do, and the sad part is, they do not have a God to deliver them out of their problems. But we are fortunate enough that we know Him (rather known by Him) and He is there to deliver us out of all problems.
The people of this world struggle on their own and their so called God's and belief system does not bring them out of any trouble. They may show to be strong and victorious on the outside, but the truth is, they are troubled and afflicted more than we do...And they do not even have a comforter at their side...
We should not be discouraged when we are afflicted, but know that He is in control and will deliver us out of all afflictions...
