Finding rest

Sometimes we find ourselves lamenting like the Psalmist, pouring our feelings to God.

Psalms 6:3-4 (NIV)
3. My soul is in anguish.
How long, O Lord, how long?

4. Turn, O LORD, and deliver me;
save me because of your unfailing love.

This is true for so many of us...though we know that God is faithful, that He is working on our concerns, is sure to give us a blessing, we find our souls becoming restless due to lack of positive outcomes or continual disappointments.

How do we keep our hearts stable? Just like the psalmist did...

Does this surprise you? True, the psalmist poured out His complaints to God. He gave it off to God instead of keeping it within himself and found relief.

That is why the Psalmist was able to say,

Psalms 62:1,8 (NIV)
1.My soul finds rest in God alone...

8.Trust in Him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge

Let us do likewise and find our true rest in God...
