Drinking from the abundance

How would we feel if somebody told us that we work a little for them and that they would give a share of their inheritance? We would be surprised isn't it? And we would sure believe it and go ahead to take it...

How would we feel when somebody told us, 'just love me and be faithful to me, and you can take your fill from the abundance of my house'. We would be zapped won't we? But that is exactly what God is telling us. But are we finding it true enough to believe it and live by His Word?

Psalms 36:7,8 (NASB)
(v.7) How precious is your lovingkindness O God!
And the children of men take refuge
in the shadow of your wings.
(v.8) They drink their fill of the
abundance of your house;
And you give them to drink of the
river of your delights.

Here it doesn't refer merely to a financial need but applies to any kind of need we may have. God is ready to give us a drink from the river of delights. Oh! for the faith we need to have to believe this and thank God everyday for meeting that need.

If we really want to drink from the abundance of God's house, we better believe that we will receive it and thank God for giving us that privilege.
