As God's children when we show Christ-like love to people, not all will recognize it or receive it as we may expect. Many may be indifferent to it, many even cause pain for exhibiting Christ-like love and kindness. There is some degree of risk involved when we give and show Christ-like love to others.
But are we ready to take that kind of risk? Would we still continue to show Christ-like love to those who might have caused us pain? Would we forgive and accept them if they come back?
2 Corinthians 8:21 (New International Version)
For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men.
If we have really understood and realized God's love, His forgiveness and His grace in our lives, then we for sure would take that risk.
This is a very difficult subject and more-so a very difficult thing to practice in one's life... but for-sure not an impossible one when we are with the Lord.
