The very first thing which is essential in our relationship with God is that we be right with Him. Though we fail at times we need to make conscious efforts to change ourselves so that we are found to be blameless and sinless by Him.
That is why the Psalmist tells the Lord,
Psalms 139:23, 24 (NIV)
(v.23) Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
(v.24) See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Let us make this our prayer too, so that we are always teachable, correctable and are moulded by Him...
