Waiting and Receiving

Many a time when we are waiting on the Lord to get an answer, we will be tempted to work our own way to get a solution to the problem. We may assume that we have to do something to get things done and may think that to be God's way.But at times God want us to be still, while He is wisely working something for us in the invisible realm. But seldom do we have the patience and faith to hold on...

But those who wait and receive from the Lord are more blessed and happy, than those who try to do something on their own and feel frustrated at the end...

The Word of God says,

Psalm 37:34 (New International Version)

Wait for the LORD ,
and keep his way.
He will exalt you to inherit the land;

When the Word of God says here inherit the land, it does not refer only to a literal meaning. It also refers to the answer for which we are waiting for...It could be anything.

So let us wait and receive from God the answer to our prayer. When we have entrusted something to Him, He is not being quiet without working on it. But He is very much carrying out His purposes for us and on our behalf.

Prayer:
Thank you Jesus that you are working out something on my prayer request. Help me to wait and receive from you, rather than frantically go about working my own way. In Jesus name. Amen.

Affirmation:
All that I have, all that I am and all that I claim is from your grace O God.

  1. Beautifully written - yes we need to wait on the Lord, for his decisions are ultimate and fruitful.
