We many times say we have faith. But not really everybody understands what it is to live by faith. If we have to live by faith, we need to know the nature of our Lord and what the Word of God says for every situation or sector of our life. Faith is not just holding a positive attitude for something good to happen to us. It is tremendous unshakable belief which comes from knowing Christ and His Word. Only then we can live a life of faith, otherwise we will be living a life, not of faith but of doctrine. The bible teaches us a doctrine but to live that tremendously we need faith.
1 Corinthians 2:5 (Amplified Bible)
So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.
When we truly understand the God whom we trust and worship, then our faith will be built in such a way that we will handle every area of life in line with what the Word of God says. Then we need not struggle to hold faith but faith will hold us.

ReplyDeleteSadly nowadays the word Faith is maligned by people and misused to make one believe in oneself as a healer, success maker etc... And there are some who use this to make money.
As you mentioned a positive attitude alone cannot be just equivated to the Meaning of Faith. The word of God and the power of that word of God alone can bring the exact meaning of the word faith.
