Truly Satisfied...

In a world where we are taught more -to hoard, possess and buy, it is really difficult to cultivate the habit of contentment. Contentment is a rare quality these days. People are behind acquiring more... Enough is not the word as per the world's way.

And sometimes even we as God's children, get into the habit of asking for more, desiring for more and our list never stops as it goes one after the other...

But look what Apostle Paul says,

Philippians 4:12 (NIV)
I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

We need to have a heart like Paul's, so that we learn the secret of being content. Otherwise we will never be satisfied...

Hebrews 13:5 (NIV)
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

God shall provide all our needs not our wants. So let us live with contentment and find true happiness...

  2. I specifically like the last words in your post - "God shall provide all our needs not our wants ". How many of us really understand this - we have so many wants, so many desires but still we can live without fulfilling these desires. But God certainly provides our needs but not our desires as most of our desires on this earth lead to death and destruction.

  3. I certainly agree with Stannyna, that most of our desires are so worldly which we are after due to which we tend to lose focus on God. Thanks Stannyna for explaining more on this truth
