Standing Yet...

What happens when what we expect does not happen? or what we plan to do or have done do not accomplish? We feel frustrated isn't it? It is natural for any one of us to become frustrated when the thing that we expect doesn't come to pass...

We get annoyed and sometimes angry. We may also become upset that we may feel like having been struck ...for we feel immobilized to take the next step or even to think next.

We may feel as if we have come to a halt but we should not continue with this phase for long, for it may hamper our well being. Therefore all that we need to do is, change our mind from what we have been focusing on and then try another option or alternative.

Jesus did this and so did His disciples. When Jesus was not accepted in one town, he moved to other town. When the apostles faced persecution in one city they moved to another place. So when something doesn't work for us or something we expect doesn't come to pass then all we need to do is commit our concern to God and seek His counsel...

2 Corinthians 4:8-9 (New American Standard Bible)
we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not despairing;
persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed;

  1. Hey Rads, my sincere request to you is, you please don't send your devotion link to us with a doubt that whether it'll minister to us or not. As I've told you many times earlier, each and every devotion you write definitely does minister to us. It's our Heavenly Father inspiring you and leading you each day to write the devotional and I believe that He won't make you write something which will not minister to us.
    So throw away your doubts, be happy each time you send your devotion link to all of us and be sure that your devotion does minister to us!
    Coming to today's devotion, it did minister very well to me, especially the verse you ended the devotion with. That verse gave solace to my heart. I'm not telling this just for the sake of it. You know I mean what I say, don't you?
    God bless you and God bless us daily with your devotional!

  2. This devotion is perfectly written and I do not understand why you should feel that it may not minister well. Yes we feel crushed, desperate and angry when things do not work the way we expect. We desire things to move in a certain way confident that it will work but Gods ways are different. He will never allow anything to come to pass that is not good for us. We have to wait patiently for the Lords hands to work on us and mould us according to his will.

  4. God use the waiting time to mold us in his way, it is upto us to recognize the learnings that God wants to teach us and then lead us.

    Irene and myself have testimonies on this...
