And for fears which we may not have control, we may pray about it and also at the same time be telling God, how He should get us out of that problem. We may unknowingly direct God how He should handle it...
But our ways are not His ways... We know this well. Yet our fears may supersede and we may not be able to keep our mind quiet.
The Psalmist had gone through situations of fear like we did, and we have something to learn from the way he dealt it...
Psalms 34:3 (NIV)
I sought the Lord, and he answered me;
he delivered me from all my fears.
The Psalmist did not direct God as what God should do, but rather he sought the Lord, meaning, he asked God what he should be doing. He says that the Lord answered him. And the answer he got from God, delivered him out of all his fears.
So the next time we fear something, let us seek the Lord. Our Lord is sure to give us an answer and deliver us from all our fears.
